“To ensure Southington proactively manages its budget pursuant to a multi-year fiscal plan”
I have had the honor of holding a seat on the Board of Finance since 2009, currently serving as Vice Chairman. I am proud of the work our board has done over the past decade in helping maintain a low mill rate for all taxpayers, while working collaboratively with both the General Government and Board of Education to strategically position the Town of Southington for success moving forward. In addition to the actual work done, I am equally as proud of the manner in which it has been accomplished. Led by Chairman Leary’s example, our board functions with full transparency and patience for differing points of view. Conducting our duties in this manner will become increasingly important moving forward as the town continues to deal with financial issues and uncertainty largely beyond its control. My wife and I live in Southington with our two daughters. We feel blessed to be part of such a great community. Outside of my Board of Finance duties, I work as the Head of Professional Liability for a specialty lines insurance company. I am very active in my church, volunteering time both domestically and as part of international trips. I also Co-Chair the Steering Committee of the Connecticut Children’s Connection, a community of members dedicated to supporting medical research to ensure children and families receive the care they deserve. I ask for your vote on November 2nd. |
